In Remembrance: Karen White

Karen White
April 27, 1954–July 31, 2015

Our collective hearts are broken in remembering our treasured friend and colleague, Karen White.

Karen’s courageous fight against cancer ended today with her family at her side. She endured grueling therapies, all the while maintaining her considerable Southern grace and charm. Karen’s true nature was to dote on others, even as her own struggle with cancer advanced.

Karen was an important part of Burns-Fazzi, Brock and its predecessor Benmark East. While Office Manager may have been her official title, her duties were better described as mothering, cheering, and fixing—always to our betterment. From our humble beginnings with just three employees in 2000, to now more than 40 across the country, Karen is firmly embedded in the foundation of this company and its values that continue to drive us all toward success. We owe her more than the sun, the moon, and all the stars put together.

Karen is survived by her sister, brother-in-law, and two sons in North Carolina. Her work family is based in Charlotte, NC and throughout CA, DC, GA, IL, TX, UT, VA, and WA.

Services will be held at Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith, 100 S. Main Street in Faith, NC on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service in the Fireplace Lobby from 2:00 pm–3:00 pm. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery following the service.
